Drama thrives at Quainton Hall. Before leaving the school, almost every child in the school will take part in a play or choral-speaking production. The importance of Drama is fully recognised, in that all sections of the school have an opportunity for public performances. There is an annual play and a number of minor productions in the course of the academic year, which involve as many of our boys as possible, including children in our Junior School. Theatrical groups visit us and there are regular trips to the London Theatres. The school is very well represented at local Drama Competitions and Festivals and large numbers of boys are entered each year for the English Speaking Board Examinations. These activities are intended to build up a child’s confidence and to help in the preparation for senior school interviews, but, above all, they are fun! Drama is part of the curriculum from Form II (Year 4) onwards. Our experience is that senior schools take a keen interest in this aspect of a boy's contribution to school life.
