School Ethos and Aims The Aims of The School. Quainton Hall School aims to provide a broad, challenging education to all its pupils, within a secure and caring environment and within a definite Christian ethos. We see as our mission to our pupils, their personal growth and success. Quainton Hall School is a Church of England Educational Trust owned by the College of Guardians at Walsingham in Norfolk. The school represents a definite Christian understanding of life in belief and practice, but has always served the wider community in North West London. Besides most Christian denominations, members of other great world religions are well represented. Through the daily contact of one with another, in our cultural and religious diversity and with sensitivity and tactful support, our boys' lives are enriched. Such enrichment extends beyond the immediate boundaries of the school. Good Turn charity events, held most terms, raise several thousand pounds each year. This money helps people of all varieties of background and difficulty in the locality and further afield. Our school life is underpinned by regular worship in the Chapel, which is open throughout the school day. Most days begin there with prayers for all boys from the age of seven. On Thursdays there is a Sung Eucharist. Members of the Pre-Prep have their own daily Assembly and come to an informal chapel service each week. There are separate arrangements for the Nursery children. We are an inclusive community and we acknowledge and respect the faith traditions of all pupils at our school. Courteous attendance at liturgical events is a feature of school life and is understood and supported by parents. All members of the school and parents are welcome at other voluntary services held before lessons most days and at other times. The School Chaplain prepares those boys who wish it for First Communion and Confirmation. In December the whole school community assembles in Trinity Church next door to Quainton Hall School for the Advent Festival Celebration as we prepare for Christmas. There are very few children indeed who do not contribute to this great occasion during their time at Quainton Hall. The school owes much to a willing and loyal body of parents. A fruitful and committed partnership between home and school contributes to the happy and positive atmosphere enjoyed by boys, parents and visitors. High expectations of work, conduct and play shared with the parents benefit the children in our care and helps to secure their future happiness and success. Regular communication between home and school is maintained and supported by regular correspondence, our weekly newsletter and regular email and website information.
