QHS Nursery

Our Nursery is located some three or four minutes' walk from the Main School and opens at 8.30am. The Nursery day finishes at 3.30pm.

Housed in its own premises with a pleasant and enclosed garden, the Nursery with its experienced and committed staff provides an excellent start to a child's education.

We aim to provide a sound foundation for the social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development of your child in a way this is fun, un-pressured and stimulating. A weekly swimming lesson taken by our qualified and experienced swimming-teacher in our own indoor pool is also available.

The Nursery recently received the rare accolade of " Outstanding" from OFSTED.

Families may choose morning or afternoon sessions or all-day care for their child. We ask parents to complete a Registration Form and to arrange a visit to the Nursery before the offer of a place is confirmed. Nursery children, whose parents wish them to transfer to the Reception Class (known as 4+), are assessed in January of their final year at the Nursery along with the usual group of sibling applicants for 4+. This assessment is designed to be a friendly and positive experience, for which a child does not need to be prepared.
