Remembrance

To coincide with our thoughts on Remembrance this year, many of the older children looked at the Wilfred Owen poem ‘Dulce et Decorum est’ in their English lessons.  They wrote their own responses to that work, three of which are displayed here.  Some of the language they have used is very graphic but particularly evocative.

Our whole school Remembrance concluded with our planting crosses to represent each of the QHS War dead of whom we have a record – 28 in total from the Second World War – along with a single token cross to represent those who may be unknown.
