The children from Nursery to Year 2 had a great day raising money for Children in Need. The children came to school in their spotty clothes and then had a special assembly where they found out more about why we were marking Children in Need and what the money would be used for. We then did a special workout with Joe Wicks where we had to answer quiz questions and exercise at the same time. It was great for our bodies and our brains. Then the children made some healthy treats – Nursery made oat bars, Reception made frozen yoghurts, Year 1 made banana muffins and Year 2 made oat cookies. We spoke about the importance of looking after our bodies and doing things to help our minds stay healthy too – like mindfulness colouring and talking about our worries. All the children enjoyed the day and we raised over £450 for charity! Thank you to everyone for all their support.
