Estates Officer (Accommodated)

We are seeking to appoint an Estates Officer who will join the team with subsidised on-site accommodation and so will be the main team contact for emergencies, alarm call-outs and out of hours call-outs on nights and weekends. They will also support Estates team members to complete planned maintenance, emergency repairs, caretaking, security, event set-ups, and property upkeep during School hours.

The successful individual will have basic general maintenance skills but a qualification in a specific trade for example plumbing, electrical or carpentry would be advantageous. The post holder will be expected to use their own initiative and coordinate with other team members to ensure that routine and non-routine tasks are carried out and resolved with a timely can-do approach.

Candidates must also demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and be comfortable liaising with staff, pupils, parents, contractors and other third party users of the School’s buildings and facilities. The successful candidate must possess a valid, clean driving licence.

Salary: c£22,000 p.a., depending on skills and experience, plus subsidised accommodation

This is a permanent, full-time (40 hours/week), year-round position

Weekly hours are on a shift rota basis from Monday – Friday plus every third Saturday, with some out-of-hours working required
